God of War: Ascension has been announced, and it’s not God of War 4. The upcoming PS3 exclusive will take place before the events of the first God of War, and we assume, before Chains of Olympus. We don’t know much about the game yet, but according to the God of War: Ascension trailer it will take place before Kratos became the Ghost of Sparta
